Privacy Policy - Calorie Counter

ne1.net Calorie Counter

On this page you can read about our privacy policy.

Your diary entries stay on your device; analytics and β€” for non-subscribers β€” advertising data described below are shared with Google.

All personal information that you register in the app is stored exclusively on your device (so it is technically impossible for it to get shared with any third parties).

The app sends requests to our server to search food items / exercises; these are exclusively read operations. Your IP address is visible to our server when you do so, but we do not link queries to you and no diary content is included in these requests.

This website uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-ZV8YY85GK5, Google LLC, USA) to count visits and page views. It loads only after you accept in the cookie banner.

The Calorie Counter app uses Google Analytics to measure aggregated feature usage. No diary content is sent to Google.

Analytics data: truncated IP address, device/OS, app version, pages/screens viewed and usage events. Legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). US transfers rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Control: web opt-out via Google's opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or by declining the banner; in the app, analytics follows your iOS tracking settings and uninstalling stops future collection.

The free version of the Calorie Counter app shows ads from Google AdMob. Subscribing removes ads and AdMob does not run for subscribers.

AdMob data: advertising identifier (IDFA, only with your iOS tracking permission), IP address, device/OS, app version, ad impressions/clicks, coarse location and diagnostics. Provider: Google LLC, USA under EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Personalised ads only with consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) + ATT permission); otherwise non-personalised ads. No diary content is sent to Google.

Control: subscribe to remove ads; manage tracking in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking; manage Google ad preferences at adssettings.google.com; see Google's advertising privacy policy (policies.google.com/technologies/ads) and AdMob data disclosure (support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543).

NOTE: the app is iCloud enabled, which means your data is automatically synched using your iCloud enabled apple account. This is very useful for using our app with multiple iOS device and provides automatic backup. However if you wish to disable this on your device it is possible to do so specifically for this app in the settings app under account > iCloud.
