Amazing "true" news, told by "real" people.

Why does this even exist?

Well it's just a landing page for apache. I do host various hobby projects on this magnificent server: an old HP laptop.

Also if you think this page is lame and/or looks bad: I couldn't agree more.

Current projects

In case you even care, my current projects include: learning GoLang, a not for profit iOS app (may provide more details at some point), running local AI LLMs and playing with different use cases for AI. I do have a full time dev job that takes up most of my time.

The "news" stories on this page is just an experiment in trying to get more variety in LLM responses. Stories are generated a few times per day with a small shell script talking to locally hosted LLM. Images are generated with locally run stable diffusion. Who said its not possible to generate images without a GPU and with only 4GB RAM?

The server has an i3-8145U CPU, with 2 cores and 4 threads and only 4gb DDR4 single channel RAM. It obviously is not particularly fast for LLM CPU inference. Regarding stable diffusion: obviously it is using a small model, if I attempt to use a larger and better model it will crash outright :D It does use some intelligence to select only a part of the headline to use as input to stable diffusion.
